Interactive
module for enterprise-wide deployment
iBISS
Net (v. 2.0) is a Java, web-based, GIS-enabled decision support
system (powered by MapInfo®) allowing import of static engineering
drawings into a data warehouse. This provides an interactive,
user-friendly interface for enterprise-wide application, allowing
all members of the organization to access and utilize up-to-date
network asset information, 24/7.
Today’s broadband network operators have
implemented many systems for data collection, monitoring, and
control, but with little intersystem communications. As a result,
operators have valuable data in different formats distributed
across many systems with limited ability to cross-reference
or share data. iBISS Net is focused on bridging the
gap between these systems and the people who use them, resulting
in reduced expenses, increased efficiencies, and synergies for
the entire enterprise.
Once network information is in database form,
overlay of data from other systems and sources such as commercial
and residential market demographics, billing, status monitoring,
work orders, repair history, non-responders, technician service
areas, service penetration, and more can be integrated for advanced
management and analysis capabilities.
iBISS Net combines Operations and Engineering
(O&E) as well as Marketing and Business Services (MBS) functionality.
