Designing and Optimizing Fiber Networks in the USA
Client: The client was a major US-based network infrastructure provider.
Technology: Fiber (To-The-Home / To-The-Curb)
Challenge:
In 2018, an American global network infrastructure provider started a project to build out their fiber network across multiple major cities in America. For this project, they required an agile, specialized team with expertise in network design to help them design fiber networks providing accessible, hi-speed broadband for thousands of people across the country.
Initially, we had a couple of employees visit the client location to be trained in their specific environment, as well as learning the flow of activities in the client’s regular day. After this initial visit, we started off with a 3-member team, which has since expanded to a 36-member team, or a 12x multiple, due to the increased frequency of jobs and activities that were sent IMMCO’s way. We started off by handling network design approvals and reviewing input design files from the client before passing them on to the database to be executed in the field.
Solution Highlights:
Using our proprietary process framework, we ensured that any job coming our way was carried out with the highest quality, which was validated by the ever-increasing trust and support coming our way from the client. From one activity to 13 currently, we have definitely seen a clear uptick in terms of the scale and variety of projects coming our way.
Some of the overall highlights from our engagement with the client are below.
