The client is a US-based international technical professional services firm, providing engineering, design, and construction services to clients in the private and public sector worldwide. In 2018, they were just starting their smart city project, to connect an entire city with a fiber network backbone, enabling its residents and business with hi-speed broadband.
The required task was laying out a fiber network across the city, enabling residents and business with fast broadband connectivity. The project had to start off with the address validation, or scrubbing, step. IMMCO needed to start off by validating and finalizing the list of addresses who would be under the purview of the proposed network backbone. Post this was the conduit and feeder designs, thus completing the construction pack, and handling the permitting stage so the construction can begin, and the network rollout can get underway.
By automating each activity where the possibility exists, IMMCO ended up reducing the time taken for work at one workzone from three to four days to the range of half to one day. Our main software product, iBISS® was used to achieve these results. Along with reducing the overall turnaround time, it also helped to bring down project costs while maintaining quality.
With one unified folder structure and stringent quality checklists, our team delivers nothing but the best in a timely manner. The master feedback register captures all of the client feedback given for certain designs, and a unified rating method is used to measure the quality of each job, and ensure the highest standards.
IMMCO has covered over 17 work zones for the client, setting up the fiber network until feeder design for each. After the field teams go out and begin construction, the as-built work begins as well, giving IMMCO one more task in the pipeline to complete. Till date, nearly 35,000 addresses have been covered, with trenches scaling hundreds of miles.
